Susan Herndon

Susan is a singing songwriting musician, born in St. Louis, MO, raised in Tulsa, OK, who lived and worked in France and in Greece for a couple of years and now lives and plays music in the Texas Hill Country.

Susan was voted Best Singer-Songwriter in a Tulsa World Music Awards poll, has songs in some indie films, and her song, “The Bad Roads of Oklahoma” that she wrote while living in Okemah, was named one of the 10 Best Route 66 Road Songs by American Profile magazine.

After playing WoodyFest for 10 years or so, she was asked to serve on the WoodyFest Board of Directors which she did for several years and created and still produces the Women of WoodyFest Roadshow and Fundraiser, now in its 10th year.

Susan has released 13 albums of original songs. Her latest album is L’amour est Etrange and her last album, Big Blue Beautiful Dream that she recorded in Norman, OK with her band, the Bella Counsel, is said by one critic to be “as memorable as it is important.”
